Ministry Reflection
The importance of fellowship was shown on Sunday night. We broke the kids up into groups and asked them to talk about needs, concerns and prayer in their lifes. It took awhile for the kids to get going, but after awhile and when it was time to move on some of them were still praying. Just like IWU we brought up the topic of advent. Andrew started talking to the kids and asking them what is important about Christmas. He started to challenge them to give more of themselves this season, not only to others, but to God. For the most part the kids were really receptive to it and walked away with some ideas. This semester has been great overall. I have scene the ups and downs of ministry. There were some nights were no kids showed up and it was just my youth pastor and I, but that was nice, because we were able to talk about direction and just become in a better more glorifying relationship. On the other hand there were some nights were it was crazy and there was a ton of kids and it really exciting. I could never expect to have a certain constant number of kids show up and I believe that was a good lesson for me to learn.
Spiritual Reflection
This past week was a little better, I have had less distraction and have been able to spend more time with God. I am still reading the Wild at Heart book, and through my reading I believe it has challenged me to become more of a passion filled person and a man in Christ that feels I have more of a calling than ever.
