Ministry Reflection
This was a slow week, there was no Sunday night youth group, because of Thanksgiving break. So all we had this week was the Wednesday night small groups. Small groups are going great. Like I mentioned in earlier post this is the first time the youth pastor is bring small groups since he as been the youth pastor. So there has been some hinderance on the part of the kids. There has not been big attendance to the small groups, but the kids that have been going have been asking good quesitons and we have just all been growing in our relationships. The night went well, we mainly talked about how we need to have our identity in God, and when we do that nothing can seperate us from our identity. After the night Andrew and I talked about a youth seminar coming up and I get to go, which I am totally pumped for. Another thing that we talked about is after Christmas break I will get to lead more youth groups, and that will be great training for me.
Spiritual Reflection
This week has been interesting, I did alot of homework over break and in coming back I thought that I would have alot of free time to have fun and keep growing with God. Although I have been getting fairly distracted, with empty tasks. I really need to get rid of these and begin filing more of my free time with more benefical tasks.

Hey enjoy the weeks when you have only a few things to do. There will be less and less of those as you go on.
ReplyDeleteI like the small group idea though. We are going to start a small group ministry too. It always seems difficult to start new programs but if you begin to cast the vision for small groups than people will be more likely to get involved. A pastor should never pass up the opportunity to cast vision.
