Ministry Reflection
This week there was no Sunday night youth group. On our small group night, it was mainly a night for us just to continue to relate to the kids. We brought up our struggles and talked about how to deal with them. I talked to a couple of the boys about their struggles because I have dealt with many of the same struggles. The kids are great, not much is going on in the youth group like activity wise, because me and the youth pastor are just trying to build relationships since he is also new too. The relationships are growing amazing I am really excited for next semester when I already have them built and all the activities we have planned. Next semester is exciting because I will have the oppurtunity to run some programs and go on a youth builders event, meant especially for youth pastors.
Spiritual Reflection
This has been another good week, I am loving the book Wild at Heart, its teaching me about what it is that makes me a man. The truth is that I need to become more, risk taking and be willing to but it all on the line for God when He calls me to do so. In learning to read and be a Christian, just give God glory and grow more and more in love with Jesus, I have grown alot, and even, now when its my senior year and Im told that I am in the major, and I still have not received my letter of acceptance, which is so frustrating, I am trying to rely on God and see how I can give Him glory out of this.

Hey Chris,
ReplyDeleteI heard that book was a pretty amazing book to read. I think I might read it sometime. I like where you said, "The truth is that I need to become more, risk taking and be willing to put it all on the line for God when He calls me to do so. In learning to read and be a Christian, just give God glory and grow more and more in love with Jesus,"
This is exactly how every Christian should live. We should be passionate about doing the work of the Kingdom. We should be willing to take risks for our faith, look stupid to others, and do things that culture says is different. Every single day we should be putting it all on the line for God.
Have a good day.
