Ministry Reflection
Every youth group night keeps getting better and better. My friendships that I have alrady started, are contuning to grow; but I am also starting to other relationship that will continue to grow and I am really excited about this. On Sunday we had a youth leadership meeting. In this meeting we talked about all the upcoming events that we are planning and some that we want to plan. We also just talked about ways to get the kids involved. This was a nice meeting, because I was able to hear the opinions of the other leaders. Then later that night was a youth night. It was my responsibility to come up with a game for the night, and I completely forgot. So I had to think of a game on the fly. I did end up coming up with a game and it was alot of fun, except for when a girl shattered her pinky and is now out for the whole swimming season. Than on Monday, Andrew(the yth pastor) and I meet and we went out to Culvers. We jsut talked personally about each others day, the youth group kids, and some ideas that i wanted to get across and maybe try out later on during the road. Than Wednesday night was youth group again, and Andrew and I lead the youth group in a session about growing in a relationship with God. Something else that I m really excited about for next semester is that I have no Monday and Friday classes, so Andrew and I talked about me going to the High School and eating lunch with the kids.
Spiritual reflection
Every week, since my low week has been better and better. I am starting to get back to the basics of my faith, where Im not doing things for me or for whatever, but I am doing them to give God the glory He deserves. Its such a great feeling, when I think and feel about it that way. In the youth group the kids where sturggling a little bit on staying focused, but overall its alot better than my other experiences.
